Interim/mid-term reports come home this Friday, September 2.
For WRITING, we continue with out small-moment narrative story -- we've done lots of brainstorming, so we'll begin our drafting process now. For READING, we will be focusing on non-fiction texts, and practicing ways to ask and answer questions about what we read. Our spelling unit will focus on Letterland Unit 33 (see Spelling link above). In MATH, we continue with strategies to add and subtract numbers, including the Math Mountain strategy and the Hundreds board strategy. We'll spend a couple more days on SOCIAL STUDIES, as our reading evaluations took up some time last week. Welcome back everyone! We continue our first quarter following our three-week track out.

In MATH, we continue with strategies to add and subtract numbers, including the Math Mountain strategy and the Hundreds board strategy. We begin wrapping up or SOCIAL STUDIES unit this week, with a focus on local, state and national governments. |
