Only three days this week, then track out. In READING, we’ll dive deeper into our new unit – “Describe the connection between a series of historical events, scientific ideas or concepts, or steps in technical procedures in a text” by looking at the technical procedures aspect (e.g. brushing your teeth, baking cookies, building a bird feeder, etc.). Our WRITING focuses on Persuasive Letters: we’ve begun composing using a planning map, and will start to fill those out. In SPELLING, there is no official list, due to our short week – instead, we will practice as part of our reading activities. For MATH, we finish up our Partitioning Shapes unit, and will take the test on Tuesday. SOCIAL STUDIES will involve continued work with Geography and Maps.
