Hello All! This week in WRITING, we continue our Realistic Narratives. We've be busily writing fiction stories that could actually happen -- no aliens, Minecraft characters or Superheros. The kids have such creative ideas! For READING, we are comparing NON-FICTION texts on the same topic, and evaluating facts and main ideas along the way. For LETTERLAND, we are in Chapter 17, where we are learning about -ew, -ue and oo words. In MATH, we are in the midst of learning how to apply our addition strategies to 3-digit Subtraction problems (ex. 495-138). SCIENCE finds us deep in our topic of AIR and WEATHER; this week we'll be learning and experimenting with bubbles, anemometers, and wind vanes! Oh, and we'll talk some about Clouds, as well.
